The third edition of the LVMH Young Fashion Creators’ Award once again saw nearly 1,000 entries from over 50 countries.

23 designers were chosen by the selection committee, under the supervision of Delphine Arnault, who commented: “This year, the LVMH Prize welcomes candidates from Japan, China, the United States, Canada, England, Finland, Germany and France, as well as Malaysia and Iran. It’s a unique feature of the LVMH Prize, the first totally international and digital prize, that it brings together so many talents of different origins and stylistic expressions in Paris. Men’s fashion is as well represented as ever, while streetwear continues to make its mark on design, without calling into question the existence of traditional women’s fashion. As a leader in its industry, it is the responsibility of the LVMH group to identify and help these young designers to develop.”

Among the fashion designers selected for this third edition of the LVMH Prize, 6 are in menswear, 7 in menswear and womenswear, and 10 in womenswear exclusively. In addition, 2 designers present last year have been selected again: Koché and Astrid Andersen.

The 23 designers will now be invited to meet the 41 international fashion experts who will select the 8 finalists on March 2-3 in Paris.

The LVMH Prize will be awarded by the Jury on June 16 at the Fondation Louis Vuitton.

The Graduate Award continues to accept entries until May 15, 2016.
