The House of Glenmorangie presents the seventh opus in its award-winning Private Edition” collection: Glenmorangie Milsean, an exceptional, rare and astonishing single malt.

REMARKABLE SWEETNESS
Glenmorangie Milsean comes from the Scottish Gaelic word for “sweetness” and is pronounced “meel-shawn”.
Inspired by the variegated colors of traditional confectionery, Dr. Bill Lumsden, Glenmorangie’s Creative and Distilling Director, wanted to recreate these sweet flavors in a single malt whisky.
Aged in old oak casks that had previously contained bourbon, Glenmorangie single malts are transferred to previously burnt casks. Specifically selected by the Master Distiller, the various stages and manipulations will bring out the desired notes of sweetness.

BURNING TO PERFECTION
Dr. Bill Lumsden traveled to Portugal to find the right casks. Traditional grape varieties are prized worldwide for their original flavors, and are used to produce elegant, fine wines.
Shipped to Scotland, these casks are burned with an open flame to bring out a refined palette of aromas, with notes of Glenmorangie Milsean’s distinctive sweetness and power.
Generous and zesty, its aromas are rich and remarkable, with a woody finish.

TASTING NOTES
NOSE
Fragrant, sweet and spicy, with notes of cane sugar, ripe fruit, lemon sherbet and caramel.
If water is added, a sweeter sweetness emerges, based on candied plums and barley sugar, and the gentle scent of coconut. Notes of lemon and lime, with a hint of ripe exotic melon.
TASTE
A thick, fat, spicy texture, with a hint of chili pepper that gives way first to a sweet, voluptuous flavor, then to a blend of acid fruits and candied orange, cherry,
peach, plum and melon.
FINISH
Long and spicy, always with a sweet note in the background, hints of ginger, brown sugar and cake batter.
Glenmorangie Milsean is a beech-purple whisky, unchill-filtered and bottled at 46% alcohol by volume.

Glenmorangie Milsean is on sale for €85 from leading wine merchants.
