La Cantine Sicilienne
An old neighborhood bistro dating back to the interwar years, the Cantine Sicilienne is now an establishment that celebrates the gastronomy of the famous Italian island. Raw decor and solid cuisine. A good address in the 20th arrondissement!
Just a stone’s throw from Place Gambetta, Chef Chris and his brother Francesco work small miracles. They offer classic Sicilian dishes: spaghetti with clams, gnocchi with pumpkin cream and pecorino, and fresh fish.
With a kitchen that opens onto the dining room, the star of the show is truly the fresh, seasonal produce that flavors the Cantine. La Maison works mainly from the slate, with attractive lunchtime formulas ranging from a simple dish at €10.90 to a full meal at €15.90; with desserts made the same morning, such as the truly delicious Panna Cotta or Tiramisu.
Iced spritz and wines from small Italian producers are on the menu. La Cantine Sicilienne certainly feels like home.
