On November 11, to coincide with the opening of Paris Photo, Pernod Ricard presented its “Vision” photo campaign to a host of leading figures from the international photography scene.

Since 1975, Pernod Ricard has offered a “carte blanche” to an artist whose work illustrates the Group’s annual report. This year, artist photographer Li Wei has been commissioned for Pernod Ricard’s fortieth art campaign. The only condition was that the models had to be Pernod Ricard employees. Renowned for his aerial performances, Li Wei offered 40 employees the opportunity to “fly” in front of his lens.

In addition to 9 works revealed last October at the launch of the Group’s annual report, visitors to the Grand Palais’ Espace C1 during Paris Photo will also be able to enjoy previously unseen works that Li Wei has specially selected for the occasion.

It’s been 6 years now since Pernod Ricard turned to contemporary photography. Nearly 130 employees have already lent themselves to the game of representing the diversity of their company and the signature that unites them, “Créateurs de Convivialité”, in front of the camera.

the lenses of contemporary photographers Marcos Lopes (2009/2010), Denis Rouvre (2010/2011), Eugenio Recuenco (2011/2012), Olaf Breuning(2012/2013), Vee Speers (2013/2014) and today Li Wei (2014/2015).

Alexandre Ricard, Chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard, said at the opening: “Today is the first time we have exhibited our campaign at Paris Photo. I’m delighted to be able to share the fruits of our artistic collaboration with visitors to one of the world’s leading art fairs. Art is by nature convivial: it’s only worthwhile if it’s shared.

Photographer Li Wei, who was present at his side, expressed his emotion in these terms: “I had never before had the opportunity to carry out a project of such scope: a dozen sites, a tour of Europe in 5 countries, three weeks of travel… We shared an extraordinary human adventure with each of these 40 men and women, from all walks of life, on the sites that have shaped and continue to shape the history and success of Pernod Ricard”.

The campaign’s marking-off video, which you can watch here, transports you into Li Wei’s aerial universe. You’ll discover the technical dimension of this artistic feat.
