I’ve just come back from Tunisia, from the island of Djerba to be precise, where I spent an extraordinary stay, between horseback riding on the beach and a road trip in the Sahara desert.
I stayed at the Rym Beach Seabel Hotel ****, which I highly recommend.
The beautiful pool
This hotel offers all-in stays, but unlike most other hotels on the island, the food here is really top quality. The chef makes it a point of honor to provide maximum customer satisfaction. Fresh produce is available every day: vegetables, fruit, fish, meat, as well as traditional Tunisian dishes, there’s something for every taste.
As for the staff, they take great care of you. You’ll be warmly welcomed with a cocktail, and in your room you’ll have the pleasure of receiving a beautiful fruit basket and a pretty bouquet of flowers. In short, we’re here to make your stay at Seabel Rym Beach a pleasant one.

The hotel has its own private beach, a 5-minute walk from the rooms, ideal for a quick, relaxing break. There’s also a bar and restaurant facing the sea, where you can enjoy a cocktail with your feet in the water. There’s also a tapas bar, “La Corrida”, on site if you’re in the mood for something even more exotic. The hotel also boasts an elegant à la carte restaurant, offering a refreshing change from the buffet.
The Arabo-Moorish architecture transports you to another world, but the lobby remains stylish and refined, with denim armchairs arranged around small Scandinavian tables. A highly sophisticated decor, right down to the bedrooms. Paintings by various artists are to be found throughout the establishment, giving art pride of place and delighting the eye.
Another important detail is that the wifi is really perfect – you can pick it up anywhere in the hotel.
Seabel Rym Beach is the ideal place for the whole family, whether you’re coming as a couple, with friends or with your children, you’ll always find something to entertain you. There’s plenty to do, from horseback riding and archery to quad biking and aqua aerobics. You’re bound to find something to your liking. Why not relax at the end of a long day with a massage at the spa?
In the evenings, after dinner, a team of entertainers will keep you dancing and enchant you with a variety of shows. The evenings won’t be monotonous, far from it! In fact, there’s a great chicha bar serving mint tea late into the night, perfect for ending the evening on a lounger by the pool.
Various activities:
Visit Djerba :
I recommend you visit the Guellala museum, which is really very interesting and tells you all about the life of the island’s inhabitants. You can also visit the town of Guellala to see how Djerba’s famous pottery is made, and then enjoy a fresh fish at the “Le Poisson d’Or” restaurant. The food here is hearty, authentic and delicious. Stroll along the small fishing ports, where the atmosphere is pleasant and authentic.
I also invite you to discover the “Chez Adel” restaurant, if you like seafood (it’s delicious!) and you can eat there almost with your feet in the water!
For an incredible experience in the Sahara desert, all you have to do is go to your hotel, which will take care of everything. There are day trips and multi-day trips (if you want to sleep in the desert, for example). Don’t miss out on these excursions, which will enable you to discover magnificent places, lunar landscapes and even the filming locations of the first Star Wars films.
