Hibiki Japanese Harmony, the latest product from the House of Suntory, sublimated in four cocktails specially created to celebrate the four seasons, known in Japanese as “Shiki”, by Thierry Hernandez, Bar Director at the Plaza Athénée. The House of Suntory, a pioneer in the distillation of Japanese whisky, embodies the harmony that exists in Japan between Nature and Man. Each Suntory whisky combines the forces of nature with the meticulous precision of Japan’s finest craftsmen, always striving for excellence. It is in this same idea of excellence that the House of Suntory and Thierry Hernandez, Director of the Bar at the Plaza Athénée, come together. Thierry Hernandez’s know-how, combining classicism and modernity, is combined with the expertise of Suntory’s craftsmen: the art of blending whisky from the Japanese Artisans goes hand in hand with the art of mixology practised by Thierry Hernandez. The relationship of trust between Thierry Hernandez and Suntory has lasted five years, giving him a perfect knowledge of whiskies.

The four Suntory family cocktails embody the four seasons, the Shiki, which play a key role in Japanese culture. The Japanese are particularly keen to experience and celebrate four different seasons. Thierry Hernandez gives guests at the Bar du Plaza Athénée the opportunity to experience the four seasons by tasting Hibiki Japanese Harmony in four blends:

* To celebrate Spring, 春 Haru, the new Hibiki blend is accompanied by lemon, peach, cherry and rose.
* For a summer experience, 夏 Natsu, cucumber, green apple, lemon and elderflower pair with the new whisky.
* To enjoy the flavors of Autumn, 秋Aki, Hibiki Japanese Harmony is paired with maple syrup, white grapes and Peychaud.
* Winter, 冬 Fuyu, is represented by its typical fruits: mandarin orange, lychee and lemon.
