Piaget presented its new Haute Joaillerie and Haute Horlogerie collection “Secrets & Lights – A Mythical Journey by Piaget” at its new flagship store. This collection celebrates the mysterious and captivating play of light born of invisible time. That of countless hours devoted to each creation, echoing the history of the Silk Road. Inspired by two mythical cities, Venice and Samarkand, the new collection unfolds an unprecedented radiance. Chosen for their cultural richness and fascinating art of living, each place offers a remarkable territory of expression for the workshops of the Manufacture and their accomplices, the exceptional craftsmen associated with Métiers d’Art creations. A jewel set on water, the Serenissima inspires a collection of mysterious magic, “The Secrets of Venice”. Magnified by the most virtuoso artists – plummeters, enamellers and engravers – the timepieces recount the architectural splendors of the Clock Tower, restored by Piaget in 1997, the Bridge of Sighs, Santa Maria della Salute and the city’s emblematic lion. Bringing to life the magnificence of Venetian festivities or reflecting the play of light, Haute Joaillerie creations become veritable works of art. The magic of the Orient continues in Samarkand, “Queen of the Earth”. Nestling on the plain of Zerafchan, which means “purveyor of gold”, the historic city inspires the bewitching collection “Les Lumières de Samarcande”. The vibrant colors of the Registan and the infinity of the desert with its starry skies shine through. In their honor, the rarest and purest gems express the essence of Haute Joaillerie in resplendent center stones. Sublimated by the most unexpected Métiers d’Art, such as eggshell-encrusted lacquer, Bullino engraving or micro-mosaics, the watch creations capture the majesty of architecture and the animals of the desert. With ninety-three jewelry creations and thirty-eight watch references, this extraordinary collection transcends the freedom of the creative gesture so dear to the Maison. Through it, the signature scopes are magnificently anchored in their time. Inhabited by the passion of the Manufacture’s craftsmen and sublimated by the finest Métiers d’Art, “Secrets & Lights – A Mythical Journey by Piaget” embodies a creative apogee. Les Lumières de Samarcande Wonderfully captured by the craftsmen of the Maison Piaget, the colors and energy of Samarkand shine through in the “Secrets and Lights” Haute Joaillerie collection. Rivalling in creativity and virtuosity, these bewitching creations tell a different story of the Orient. A cascade of incredibly light turquoise pearls carves the infinite beauty of the azure onto the skin. 
In keeping with the creative audacity so dear to the Maison, radiant turquoise-blue hard stones contrast with emerald-hearted flowers. Emblematic of signature wear, the necklace’s subtle asymmetry underscores its perfect harmony. Like their predecessors bringing back the rarest gems from Samarkand, the Maison’s gemologists travel the world to discover jewels destined to become captivating centerpieces, like this four-lobed flower-ring with its original volumes underlined by a sumptuous Colombian emerald. 
Sri Lankan sapphires, Mozambique rubies and exceptional diamonds are magnified by cutting and setting techniques requiring hundreds of hours at the workbench, recalling the brilliance of the mosaics decorating the medersas of Registan. Echoing their enchanting arabesques, a flowing bracelet punctuated with turquoise illustrates the Manufacture’s excellence in working with gold. Chiselled with gestures similar to those of Haute Couture, Piaget’s benchmark metal is transformed into a jewelry sculpture, supple as precious fabric. 
A feature of the Maison’s creations for over half a century, the claw-mounted marquise setting illuminates an ethereal necklace. Tapered to bring out the light at the heart of each diamond, the marquise cut, a signature of the Maison, unfurls a sparkling lace extended by a magnificent pear-shaped diamond. 
Designed by the Maison, cascading scrolls of diamonds set with sapphires create hypnotic earrings. Dancing with the woman they sublimate, they combine the aesthetic power of oriental art with the softness of a caress.
Secrets of Venice With the exclusive complicity of the Métiers d’Art, the artisans of the Piaget Manufacture deploy the rarest skills in the “Secrets & Lights” Haute Joaillerie collection. Inhabited by the mysterious magic of the city, the new creations become timeless works of art. 
Reinvented in tune with the world of masked balls, the signature cuff is adorned with a fleuroiseau chiseled by Nelly Saunier, feather artist, Master of Art and winner of the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation’s Intelligence of the Hand Award. Set on an ethereal base of white gold, a burst of feathers offers a precious, never-before-seen bouquet. The turquoise feathers, entwined in velvety midnight-blue featherfast, create subtle glazing effects. At the heart of this spectacular feather marquetry, an emerald sparkles, studded with sapphires and diamonds. Equally innovative, the secret ring recalls the enigmatic silhouettes of Venetian festivities. Its sliding tray reveals a magnetic midnight-blue celestial vault in grand feu champlevé enamel. Tamed by the engraver, the material delivers a luminous sensuality on which the constellation of Leo is outlined.
Capturing the festive elegance of the city, the Manufacture’s craftsmen fashion a sparkling embroidery in the Palazzo ring. 
Their interlacing red spinels and diamonds beckon the flashbulbs of the Mostra or the royal box at La Fenice. With their line inspired by the Byzantine windows decorating the palazzi of the Grand Canal, the long earrings with geometrical rubies are in keeping with the creative audacity of the Maison. 
Like an invitation to seduction, a cuff adorns the wrist with rose gold embroidery. Emblematic of Piaget’s savoir-faire, its ballet of marquise diamonds is as architectural as the grapes of light filtering through the cloverleaf loggias of the Bridge of Sighs. 
Attractive as a Venetian mask, luminous as reflections dancing on the lagoon, delicate as Burano lace, these new creations consecrate the presence of the House of Piaget in the world of Haute Joaillerie.
