The man of 2016 will be both a sailor and a gentleman. Victorian-style suits catch the eye with perfectly cut jackets – frock coats with close-fitting pants or the finely pleated Bermuda version. Patterns of inks, compasses, mermaids and sea monsters are finely printed on the ensembles. Marine stripes are totally reworked in silver and black on evening suits. Of particular note is McQueen’s ever-present “dark” aspect in black ensembles, such as these long coats with metallic eyelets.
