Few brands can boast of being able to bring their community together in an exclusive and engaging setting. This challenge Mini wins it, hands down.

MINI RACING DAYS.
Last weekend, we were invited to enjoy a Mini experience.
Our adventure begins in the south of France, between Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, and ends at the Paul Ricard circuit in Le Castellet.

MINI CONNECTED

While the GPS brings us ever closer to the sea, it’s the on-board technology that gets our attention. Everything in the Mini is geared towards providing maximum comfort for driver and passengers.
- Dedicated iPhone/Android application
- XL Journey Mate GPS planner
- Web radio / Bluetooth connection
- Online research and social networks (Facebook, Twitter …)
- Approach and reversing radar
But it’s when we get to the track that everything really kicks into gear, after a few workshops to demonstrate the Minis4×4’s ability to cross obstacles.
Followed by an introduction to on-board driver assistance systems.
To finally reach the Holy of Holies!
THE MINI JOHN COOPER WORKS BAPTISM
This Mini John Cooper Works is a real surprise for fans of the brand and its future owners. Accompanied by an in-house driver, we drove along the Paul Ricard circuit with increasing enthusiasm. Being able to enjoy the full power of the car is one of the best reasons to attend Mini Racing Days. It’s in these racing conditions that the Mini ‘s qualities really come into their own, whether in terms of roadholding, agile cornering or reassuringly effective braking.
Other technical features include:
- 4-cylinder engine developing 231 hp
- 0 to 100km/h in 6.3 sec
- Steering wheel-mounted sequential control (automatic model)
- Brembo brakes
In terms of design, the Mini John Cooper Works takes some of the exclusive design of the Mini Cooper S and adds its own personal touch:
- Redesigned front grille and sport stripe
- 17″ alloy wheels
- Aerodynamic kit (rear spoiler and diffuser, enlarged side air intakes)
- John Cooper Works badge
During Mini Racing Days, we took the opportunity to take a look at other Mini models that also seduced us:
But why not see for yourself?
