At the Opéra Garnier, Stella McCartney presents a confident, urban woman. For next winter, the designer is working on a range of luxurious knits in large asymmetrical sweater dresses. Suits – which are worn for a lifetime – are not worn with jackets, but with strapless tunics that finish slightly flared, just like the long pants. The silhouette is not straight, but finished with volume and ruffles. She adds brocade panels on one shoulder for shine. Grizzly coats make an entrance, Stella’s way of showing that anything is possible with faux fur. And let’s not forget the black-and-white eveningwear, with its graphic shapes. Of particular note are the large pearl necklaces that can be shaped as desired and worn on bare shoulders, which the designer knows so well how to emphasize…
