“L” , The world’s most expensive perfume

As his loyal fans may have noticed, it’s not every day that Clive Christian launches a new fragrance.
The endless stream of fragrance releases, marketed as “new”, “trendy” or “the latest”, is definitely not for him. He waits to find something he totally loves, a fragrance that captures something of his spirit, is truly beautiful and, as always, contains only the most precious ingredients in their purest form.

After the “C” and “V” fragrances in his Private Collection, Clive has chosen the letter “L” from his first name to complete his trilogy of luxury perfumes. The Private Collection is made up of fragrances that are among the designer’s favorites: “C” for Clive, “V” for Victoria. And now the “L” for Love, the most important yet invisible ingredient in any relationship. Love is the perfect emotion for this collection.
“L” for Women, a floral, fruity fragrance with classic ingredients (Damask rose and jasmine) in the heart notes. In ancient Rome, the rose was considered a symbol of beauty and femininity by noblewomen, who wore garlands of roses around their necks, bathed in rosewater and perfumed the soles of their feet with rose oil. The fragrance is spicy and modernized by the addition of pink, black and white peppers in the top notes, as well as davana, with its notes of green foliage and dried fruit,
evoking a dense, verdant jungle with a romantic, melancholy atmosphere. Base notes of vanilla and cedar add sweetness to the fragrance, while patchouli, vetiver and musk add depth and a contemporary touch, giving it a bolder, woodier
character.

“L” for Men, a spicy fragrance with splendid accents of precious woods. It combines the wonderful green, smoky flavor of vetiver with the aromas of Atlas cedar and balsam fir to deliver a rich sweetness, with touches of musk for sensuality and spice to enliven the base notes and enhance the beauty of vetiver, the essence of tranquility. In the top note, grapefruit dominates with a citrus aroma that lifts the natural green notes, while touches of agarwood, rose and mandarin petitgrain complete the ensemble to give it its distinctive, modern character. Under the Roman Empire, the rose was a symbol of power and was used to honor the return of armies, then to perfume the most sophisticated celebrations.
