The first woman doctor of her generation in 1913, Nadia Payot was a generous woman who very early on asserted her desire to put her knowledge and medical expertise at the service of women’s beauty.

Watching prima ballerina Anna Pavlova, Nadia Payot introduced her clients to facial gymnastics as an active, preventive therapy. In 1920, this technique gave rise to the 42-movement technique, a form of passive gymnastics designed to make muscles reactive, supple and elastic.

1927, PAYOT is an avant-garde beauty brand inspired by the scents of plants and the knowledge of herbal medicine. PAYOT’s bold, distinctive creams are presented in cases with curved shapes inspired by the female body. In 1937, PAYOT was one of the first brands to open a SPA in France. The brand’s prescription was then entrusted to beauty professionals, beauticians.

Nadia Payot passed away in 1966, leaving a legacy of a brand on the move, a taste for innovation and daring, and expert gestures passed on to each and every woman.
