Enthusiastic escapade – that’s what a stay at Château des Tourelles is all about. This new establishment near La Baule is a pleasant place to be. The place is innovative, incredibly invigorating. Its history is almost a tale, as the building once housed the summer camp of the Mairie du XIIème arrondissement de Paris. Stéfanie Phélippeau, in charge of the interior design, has made judicious use of a number of archival items, including postcards sent by the children and snapshots taken at the time.
A few details remind us that life here has always been playful. Here, in the spacious reception room, a splendid photograph shows children frolicking with their feet in the sand. Happiness, oh! Happiness! Smiles and happy faces invite you to relax and look forward.
In the same spirit of rejuvenation and fitness, the treatments have been designed differently. The Suite is a real innovation. Owners Anne and Jean-Pascal Phélippeau have developed a new treatment protocol. Working down to the smallest detail to perfect the comfort of their clientele, they have created a unique space in which to deliver their treatments, thus offering top-of-the-range thalassotherapy.
From now on, there’s no need to move around the facility to go from one station to another. Massages, whirlpool baths and affusions are all in one place. The spacious Relais Suites can accommodate two people at the same time. As soon as you enter, there’s an area where you can relax and get into shape. A multi-jet bathtub offers both hydrotherapy and chromatherapy.
The bathtub can change color at will. Active ingredients for relaxation, remineralization, slimming, etc. can be added to the seawater, increasing its efficiency tenfold. To enhance relaxation, a screen is positioned opposite the bathtub. The pictures evoking the surroundings of the Château encourage serenity. A little further on, a massage table and a private hammam suggest pleasant moments ahead… A little later, a seaweed wrap, always adapted to your choice of specific active ingredients, encourages relaxation. The private Hammam will optimize it.
For more precise monitoring, the same thassotherapist can follow the curist during the stay. Day after day, she can see how the program is evolving and readjust it if necessary. Undoubtedly, this optimal reactivity and the new layout bring about a different conception of thalassotherapy.

Sport can be envisaged with a private trainer, attentive to efficiency. A superb swimming pool facilitates water games, while paths along the famous Côte d’Amour encourage seaside running. The property also boasts an extraordinary garden.
The Château des Tourelles has other assets. In terms of the hotel itself, the establishment has more than one charm. The building is divided into two parts. The first, based on a 19th-century château, houses apartment suites with incredible sea views. The atmosphere is conducive to travel.
The second part of the hotel, which is entirely modern, offers a similar change of scenery. Various room types are available: De Luxe Room, De Luxe Ocean Room with sea view, Premier Room.
The last two categories feature a balcony. The latter is very often adorned with ad hoc furniture. This makes the proximity of the sea even more reassuring…
