Carven has announced the opening of its first boutique for women on the Right Bank in Paris. The 95 m² boutique is located at 8 rue Malher in the 4th arrondissement.
This new showcase reflects the Carven boutique concept designed by Eric Chevallier. The codes of comfort, accessibility and elegance give this living space a unique atmosphere that reflects the world of collections created by Guillaume Henry, the house’s creative director.
Particular attention is paid to the choice of materials. The stoneware-ceramics floor extends onto the walls, which are covered with large mirrors, while burgundy oak is used for the shelving and the ceiling lights are used for the light fixtures. Based on designs by Eric Chevallier, the furniture was made by Domeau & Pérès, the seats are covered in iconic Carven prints and the busts of the Stockman house are made of translucent resin.
Carven now has 20 boutiques worldwide and 600 points of sale. The company is continuing to roll out the network of directly-operated boutiques begun in 2011 by Henri Sebaoun, Carven’s Chairman and CEO. The house has just set up in Cannes, the Philippines and Indonesia, and other boutiques will open in China by the end of 2014.
