& Other Stories presents a new capsule collection designed by Vika Gazinskaya for the Spring-Summer 2014 season.
Her aesthetic signature shines through the shapes in a bohemian style; a fresh, feminine collection including ready-to-wear, accessories and shoes. On May 5, the collection will be previewed at Colette – rue Saint-Honoré in Paris. The collection will then be available at & Other Stories, in all European boutiques and on the website, from May 15.
Vika Gazinskaya is a brand with an emerging international reputation rooted in its designer’s highly personal aesthetic. Vika was born and raised in Moscow, Russia. During her fashion studies, she won a competition for an internship at l’Officiel Russe magazine. Here she developed her knowledge of the fashion industry. After a year’s internship, she became a fashion editor while continuing her studies.
She worked briefly as a freelancer before launching her own collection in 2007.
Her Vika Gazinskaya collection received immediate recognition for its singularity, strong graphic lines and shapes. Praised by buyers and the press alike, her collections stood out through runway shows staged like theatrical performances during Moscow Collections Week.
In March 2010, Vika Gazinskaya presented her collection in Paris for the first time, to attract a more international audience. In July 2010, Colette invited her to create a showcase during Haute Couture week. In 2012 she was one of six finalists for the coveted Andam prize.
Her personal style makes Vika Gazinskaya one of the most photographed people in the Street Style columns. Vika Gazinskaya collections are successfully sold in top boutiques and department stores worldwide.
