“As an international emblem of the Left Bank spirit, the Lutetia has maintained a close relationship with its many international artists and designers, whether they be one-night guests, regulars or long-term residents.

The hotel has just closed its doors for 3 years. Once the sale is completed, renovation work will begin, designed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte, assisted by Alain-Charles Perrot and Florent Richard.

At the dawn of a three-year renovation program, before turning a new page in the history of the Lutetia, we have chosen an auction house that embodies our values, Paris and its innate sense of elegance and refinement ,” says hotel management.

Antoine Godeau, Auctioneer and Vice-President of Pierre Bergé & Associés, explains: ” The evolution of our house, in phase with market changes, and the emergence of a new generation of experts and diversified skills within our team are put at the service of this event. This sale, which takes place in a legendary venue, is also a celebration dedicated to the Lutetia and to those who have contributed to its legend”.

Four days of exhibition (May 15-18, 2014) followed by a week of sales (May 19-25, 2014), will take place at the Lutetia. The public exhibition will be held in all the salons and reception rooms, as well as in certain suites and rooms. This sale is organized by Maitre Antoine Godeau, auctioneer, assisted by Fabien Béjean-Leibenson, with the collaboration of the auction house headed by Pierre-Guilhem Métayer and expert Harold Wilmotte.
