The Pierre et Vacances Premium experience in Avoriaz

Invited by Pierre & Vacances Premium and Avoriaz 1800 to take a “breath of fresh air” from March 27 to 29, how could I resist?

Thursday lunchtime, and we were off for 2 busy days of great company. After a few hours’ transport (train then shuttle), we were immediately seduced by the arrival at the Amara residence.

On a mountainside with a panoramic view of the Morzine valley, the buildings face the setting sun: a royal location!

And the apartments, or rather Duplex apartments in my case, are a real surprise: lots of space, colorful decor, noble materials – wood being a must in the mountains – pleasant bedding, and a lovely terrace for after-skiing with a panoramic view.

In addition to this, you can count on a top level of comfort and service: ready-to-use household linen, a 100% equipped kitchen for an optimized stay, and a reception worthy of a top-of-the-range hotel service. We can already see ourselves spending a week here, where there are no constraints and nothing but pleasure!

The program also includes an ultra-cosy bar-lounge with pool table and fireplace, where you can enjoy an aperitif, and temporary exhibitions; a selection of Richard Orlinski ‘s artworks was on display during our visit (I invite you to discover these colorful, quirky and sometimes impressive sculptures ).

After skiing, we relaxed our muscles and minds in the wellness area. Choose between a swimming pool with sauna and hammam open to all, or the Deep Nature Spa by Algotherm, offering a pleasant relaxation room, treatments of a rare quality (tested and validated the Californian massage with Nathalie), hammam/sauna and multi-sensory showers…

And via its terrace, let yourself be tempted by the sublime open-air Jacuzzi with a breathtaking view. For €79, enjoy 6 admissions to Deep Nature, ideal for a week’s stay in the residence.

I’ll pass on to you our excellent meals and pleasant evenings… to get back to an essential subject: skiing. Thanks to theAvoriaz 1800Tourist Office, my friends and I had the chance to discover the Portes du Soleil in a different way, thanks to a private guide. First of all, the slopes are at the foot of the Amara, which makes getting started in the morning much easier, with an almost direct start from the ski-room.

As a bonus, after sunny descents between France and Switzerland, we were able to attend the VIP BabyShambles concert at the Rock The Pistes festival. Even Pete Doherty couldn’t resist the call of the peaks and made the trip!

Relive the best moments of this discovery trip on video – it speaks for itself:

What I’ll remember about Pierre & Vacances Premium’s Amara residence is its personalized welcome, chalet-style comfort, top-quality services and activities, and restaurants to suit every taste. All in a warm and welcoming environment, with packages to suit families and groups of friends alike.

A word of advice: book your apartment quickly for the 2014/2015 season – count €930 for a 2-room apartment for 4 for the Easter vacations, with snow option guaranteed😉 Who can beat that?

To make life easier for holidaymakers, P&V offers the option of booking meals in village restaurants, ski rentals, ski passes, spa treatments and more. You can put together an à la carte package to ensure a worry-free stay once you’re there.

In any case, we loved this white and blue getaway, and we’ll be returning to Pierre & Vacances Premium, which also offers beautiful seaside villages, as soon as possible. To be continued…
