For its new Autumn Winter 2014-2015 collection, Issey Miyake chose to welcome us to the Jardin des Tuileries ephemeral space for a show that was both conceptual and spellbinding.
The rows are complete, ultra-complete.
The show kicks off with the entrance of a complementary duo, Ei dada and Chiyako, one on conceptual guitar, the other on microphone, for a guaranteed moment of emotion.
Yoshiyuki Miyamae ‘s inspiration for this collection comes from the Forest, a world where beauty is eternal and natural.
The Issey Miyake woman appears smiling and warm. In fluid, circularly pleated fabrics, the silhouette is in 3D. Dresses emerge one after the other, each in turn, from half-moon clutches. The design is innovative, intriguing and attractive. At Issey Miyake, the greyness and cold of the winter of the future are replaced by warm colors such as yellow, green, violet and blue, as well as pink, red and white.
Tartan prints revisited in bright colors blend into this summery ambience where smiles are on everyone’s lips, pants are airy and baggy and skirts are pleated and fitted.
The allure is in motion, giving the Issey Miyake woman a perspective of avant-garde modernity.
