For a long autumn weekend, Croisières de France took Luxsure on a 4-day VIP cruise in the Mediterranean.
Early morning departure from Paris for Marseille, with its blue skies and harbor, where we board the Horizon (launched in 2012), a 720-cabin vessel. See the giant of the seas in this photo:
On the program: relaxation at the Spa with its hot stone massage, gourmet dining at the “Le Splendide” restaurant, a trip to the casino, cabaret-style theater (above in red), Italian excursions…
All with 100% French service, in the French style, with their partners Accor and Gault&Millau.
Top-of-the-range accommodation in a superior cabin allowed us to make the most of 3 nights cradled by the sea.
Sometimes stormy, it has to be said, due to the rather uncertain weather on the first few days; but these are the “risks” of the sea, so it’s best to be aware of them before boarding a cruise ship.
Thanks to a great “team”, with the CDF team in particular and some friendly guest bloggers, this trip was full of fun and sharing. As many of our cruisers travel with family or friends, it’s best to be well accompanied.
For my first cruise, it was an original trip: I’ll keep some lovely memories, including the sunsets at sea – I’m an eternal romantic – andbeing carried from town to town, at the mercy of the waves.
As part of the “Sole Mio” offer, we were lucky enough to discover Florence, the “unforgettable city-museum”, as well as Genoa, a colorful pearl of palaces and alleyways. We fell under its spell!
This organization of day-long ports of call is highly appreciated; each morning, once moored in the port of a new city, we wander freely to discover it in our own way.
We were able to take in some lovely sights and also some good tastings, 100% typical Italian.
Croisières de France offers all-inclusive packages, attentive and professional staff (more than 600 on board), and a change of scenery for a few days in a setting that will transport you.
To get the most out of the facilities – especially the outdoor pool and jacuzzi – choose the spring or summer seasons.
While we wait for the warm weather to return, the company is also offering trips to the Caribbean.
A bon entendeur… bon vent as real sailors say 😉
