Cointreau Fizz pays tribute to the Kiosk

For over a century, Cointreau orange liqueur has been made to a secret recipe that remains unchanged and 100% French. Its delicate taste is the result of the combination of sweet and bitter orange peels.

A few days ago, we were at the Prince of Wales to rediscover Cointreau and its cocktails, and rediscover this little-known spirit.

In 1875, Edouard Cointreau perfected this crystal-clear liqueur. A visionary in every detail, he differentiated his precious liquid with a bottle as original as its contents. The square bottle remains the brand’s emblem to this day. As 2013 draws to a close, Cointreau plays on the codes of Paris to create a showcase tinged with authenticity and modernity…

Edouard Cointreau, the avant-gardist
The iconoclastic Edouard Cointreau understood the challenges of communication early on. As far back as the early 20th century, the Cointreau bottle was transformed into a giant kiosk, welcoming curious onlookers and regulars alike to the most popular venues in Paris.
From Paris to Moscow, via Madrid and Brussels, Edouard Cointreau elegantly criss-crossed the roads with his travelling bar
, inviting people to discover Cointreau. An unconventional experience that challenged the codes of communication at the time.

The iconic Paris kiosk!
This year, Paris celebrates the 150th anniversary of this small pavilion, which has become a symbol of the French capital. Its modular architecture has spread around the world, influenced by its location. Originally intended to adorn the most beautiful gardens, it is now an integral part of the urban landscape and the life of every Parisian.
Newspaper stand, flower stand, dance stand, music stand, theater stand, or simply a meeting place, the kiosk can be interpreted in many different ways, but it remains a unique and instantly recognizable landmark. An eminently Parisian signature.

A Cointreau Fizz for every season
Cointreau has further developed its Cointreau Fizz cocktail collection. The base remains unchanged – Cointreau, sparkling water and very fresh lime – with an infinite number of twists.
