Saint-Tropez 1956. Juliette, a blonde woman full of sensuality, makes heads turn and hearts capsize. A disturbing mambo scene and Juliette becomes a myth, the image of a free, mischievous, natural, sensual and almost animal woman.

Paris 2010. The myth Brigitte Bardot is still strong as she represents an exceptional woman. And like all exceptional women, she deserves a bag at her height like Grace Kelly before her. Lancel has just offered her this anthology bag by creating the BB bag, a bag that reflects the tastes, life and figure of the actress.
The BB bag is a curvy bucket bag with loose folds paying homage to the actress’ figure and cleavage and her love of dance. It was designed without leather or chemical dyeing or tanning process. It is a bag respecting nature, made of tweed or alcantara to remain true to the commitment of the actress in favor of the defense of animals. And to recall the fabric so loved by the actress, small touches of pink gingham appear here and there inside the bag.
The sewing details multiply, the borders are quilted, the handle twisted, the links braided. Metal details multiply, from the buckle to the ring with the BB initials as a highlight. To be able to slip in all her life of woman, as Angèle Lancel thought the bag as the key to the feminine seduction…

The atmosphere of the Madrague was very present between wild dances (mambo, cha-cha-cha or tango) and songs inspired by the Gipsy Kings. The spirit of Brigitte Bardot was everywhere, from the Harley Davidson to the famous donkey.
We’ll see if the BB by Lancel will make it to the pantheon of it-bags and become a timeless item. That’s all the bad news we wish him…
