In a Navy Yard hangar in Brooklyn on February 14, Valentine’s Day, Moncler celebrated love with its Grenoble line. Mon Chéri” chocolates and red cocktails greeted guests, while a huge heart-shaped stage set opened to a backdrop of some of the world’s best-known love songs, with lyrics scrolling across a karaoke-style screen. In pairs, the models climb on and off the trays dressed in the latest parkas, jacquard sweaters and ski suits, ready to hit the slopes. Remo Ruffini, President and Creative Director, targets young teenage fans of the brand as well as Gstaad and Courchevel regulars. Technicality blends with urban trendiness. Right down to the last couple: two grooms in white dresses and black suits, wearing down jackets. The final touch, because a show like this had to end with kisses…
