The iconic 50s down jacket is in the spotlight at Moncler. Thom Browne made it the star piece at the start of the show. The models paraded in groups along a stony path around trees stripped of their leaves. They all wear the same white pants, zipped or buttoned on the side, and the same jacket in different colors and materials. Then the mannequins, facing the guests, begin to undress, revealing costumes that reference the graphic aesthetics of jockeys’ outfits. As for the reversible jackets, they match the outfits. Once again, the designer has succeeded in surprising us with a staging that is always highly refined.
