Marni has decided to collaborate with artists for its new Pre- fall 2014-2015 collection.

Marni’s interest in these works is due to the absolute freedom they exude and the feeling of fusion with the viewer they arouse. Collaborating and creating in relation to the art world, Marni supports outsider art, attracted by its boundless creativity and absolute refusal of any barrier to the imagination.

Some of the prints reproduced on fabrics and leather goods in the Marni Pre-Fall 2014 and Fall-Winter 2014-2015 men’s collection are the result of in-depth research into art brut and outsider art: forms of artistic expression outside the financial market and institutions, as if to challenge their restrictive ideologies, all involving artists who are essentially self-taught, disabled, visionary and therefore often marginalized.

Three artists took part in this project, each with their own artistic language, but all united by the use of color and naturalness in their work: Christophe Joubert and François-Xavier Tavy-Sacley, from France, and Stefano Favaro, from Italy.
