A website dedicated to the Pirelli Calendar to share its history and, even more, to discover the many creative stages of the next edition, has been put online by Pirelli: www.pirellicalendar.com.

This digital platform, which has been completely revamped, allows visitors, through films, photographs and exclusive interviews, to dive into the 50-year history of the Cal™ and experience the new Calendar behind the scenes. It is also an opportunity to follow step by step, with its author Peter Lindbergh, the birth of the 2017 edition, which will be unveiled at the end of November.

A first interview with the great German photographer, images of the locations of the next Calendar and a video “captured” behind the scenes are among the many exclusives available from today. They will be added to over the coming weeks. Next week, the names of the stars of the new edition of the Cal™ and the first behind-the-scenes photos will be revealed.

The new part Behind the Scenes: Making of The Calin particular, will accompany visitors throughout the coming months, alongside the Pirelli team, inviting them to witness the entire artistic process of an exceptional photographer.

And not only that. The Icons section of the website, dedicated to dialogue with a number of illustrious representatives from the worlds of art, culture, entertainment, fashion, sport and music, has been enriched with an interview with Andrea Bocelli. Roberto Bolle, Candice Huffine, Tommy Hilfiger, Marc Newson and Serena Williams are among the first contributors to this section.

Stories, anecdotes and other initiatives related to the Pirelli Calendar and the art world, such as international exhibitions and presentations, are the focus of the Stories section. Stories.

Finally, the 43 editions of the Pirelli Calendar are presented in detail in the Time Machine areawhere images and a digest of backstage videos are classified by decade. It’s a virtual journey through the evolution of aesthetics and trends, with commentaries that contextualize the periods from a historical and political point of view.

The www.pirellicalendar.com website accompanies the www.pirelli.com project which, since its launch 9 months ago, has recorded almost 1 million visits. The site features daily reports telling the company’s story through a variety of content: from products to culture, from business to sustainable management, and from the Pirelli Calendar to Motorsport.
