Y/PROJECT Fall/Winter 2014/15
The Y/PROJECT collection for A/W 2014 is built around the regeneration of the brand’s shapes and constructions.
Combining new cuts and volumes with historic pieces, Yproject creates contemporary, urban silhouettes. The details and finishes of previous collections have been revisited to enhance them and place greater emphasis on the brand’s codes.
The color palette is balanced between deep blues and different shades of black created through different washing, dyeing and finishing techniques. Tarmac, bronze and white add luminous touches to darker tones. The collection includes a wide variety of leathers (kangaroo, horse, lamb…). Fabrics are sourced from Belgium (denim), Scotland (tweed), France (silk) and Italy (wool and cotton).
The designs of new creative director Glenn Martens are characterized by a highly visual tailoring structure mixed with structural elegance. His work integrates technical know-how and emotional atmosphere with a focus on simplicity. Combining an architectural cut with a high degree of comfort, Glenn Martens’ approach lies in a versatility that transcends convention.
