SUNTORY YAMAZAKI SHERRY CASK 2016 returns this autumn in a very limited edition
We thought it had already disappeared, but enthusiasts can rejoice: the coveted Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2016, the essential component that characterizes the award-winning Yamazaki Single Malt, will be available again at the end of the year. 18 bottles will be released from November 1.

It has been created for “lovers of Suntory whiskies”, as Suntory Chief Blender Shinji Fukuyo explains, who has imagined this whisky as a journey. Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2016 is a beautiful encounter between Spain and Japan.
Shinji Fukuyo only selects casks in which a delicate balance between Yamazaki malt whisky and sherry cask, thefirst cask used by the House of Suntory, can be found, in order to bring out Yamazaki’s characteristic rich and multiple aromas. The meticulous selection of Spanish oak, the supervision of the sherry casks and the maturation process ensure the unanimously recognized quality of this whisky. After three years of maturation, the sherry casks are returned to the House of Suntory’s Yamazaki distillery, ready to receive what will become the eminent Yamazaki Sherry Cask Whisky.
