At the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, a symbol sits majestically atop a clock, influencing players’ decisions during cricket matches. This icon is known as “Father Time” and is one of the most iconic emblems of world cricket, closely associated with the Lord’s Cricket Ground.

As a proud partner of MCC (Marylebone Cricket Club) and Lord’s Official Timekeeper, Oris is delighted to present the “Father Time Limited Edition”, a bronze watch that embodies both its official role within the club and the shared vision of Oris and MCC for “Change for the Better”.

The MCC is the world’s most active cricket club, owner of the Lord’s Cricket Ground and guardian of the rules of cricket. Like Oris, MCC is actively committed to supporting its local and international communities. Together, they run a varied program of educational, social and sporting events for the local community. What’s more, they share a commitment to the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, encouraging local, social and environmental action for global change.

The “Father Time Limited Edition” is inspired by the emblematic “Big Crown Pointer Date” model, a pilot’s watch characterized by its oversized crown, produced since 1938. Its 40 mm case, fluted bezel and solid bronze crown will develop a natural patina over time. The watch is accompanied by a bronze bracelet and a light-brown deer leather strap, sustainably sourced and produced in collaboration with Swiss partner Cervo Volante.

The stainless steel caseback features the “Father Time” weathervane and the limited edition number. The watch is limited to 1,926 pieces, commemorating the year in which “Father Time” was donated to the Lord’s Cricket Ground. It is equipped with Oris Calibre 754, a Swiss Made automatic movement that powers the “Pointer Date” function, indicated by a central red-tipped hand.

The “Father Time Limited Edition” is available for €2,950, offering cricket and watch lovers an exceptional timepiece that combines tradition and community involvement.
