More than just an event, PRIVATE offers its French and international customers – VIPs, business leaders and celebrities – unique, hand-crafted experiences that showcase the high standards and refinement of French savoir vivre.
An impromptu cinema session in the middle of the Sahara? Cirque du Soleil for your birthday? A trip aboard the Orient Express? An exclusive scuba-diving tour of the Titanic? A private Eiffel Tower restaurant for your wedding proposal?
PRIVATE gives its customers access to inaccessible locations and a powerful address book, both in France and abroad.
The PRIVATE team has a special way of understanding its customers: profiling. It seeks to understand their expectations, but above all to exceed them, so that they can achieve what they have never before dared to dream of. Thanks to its network and tailor-made expertise, the dedicated PRIVATE team gives its customers access to exceptional encounters and experiences. In contact with top-notch partners, customers will have the opportunity to meet personalities from the worlds of art, music, sport and gastronomy.
Whether you ask a Michelin-starred chef like Alain Ducasse to concoct a meal worthy of the world’s finest tables, visit Robert Longo ‘s studio or ask Christina Aguilera to sing a musical repertoire of your choice, anything is possible.
Private is managed by Hélène Ribault, currently Public Relations Manager at Havas Worldwide. Since joining Havas in 2008, she has worked in the high-end hotel and tourism sectors. She has long worked on the design and production of “made-to-measure” services reserved for privileged clients (personalities from the world of politics and business, major industrialists, etc.).
We met Hélène Ribault for an interview.
What makes Private different from a traditional concierge service?
Private is a brand new offering dedicated to the organization of private and confidential events of the highest quality.
In this respect, Private goes far beyond a service offering. We create not just events, but unique, authentic and original experiences. Our foundation is truly to offer a service that is entirely hand-sewn, in line with the person, the brand, the stakes and the target of the event. Thanks to my background – I worked for several years in the luxury hotel and tourism industry – and the Havas and Havas Event network, I’ve built up contacts in the world of art and gastronomy that enable me to offer my clients places that are reputed to be inaccessible, and exceptional encounters. For example, you could ask Alain Ducasse to sign the menu for a 3-star dinner in your home, or experience an exclusive evening with an internationally renowned artist in his studio. What are your customers’ expectations?
Our customers turn to us for our ability to anticipate their desires and offer them fully tailored experiences that go beyond their initial expectations. Our goal is to find the right touch. To achieve this, it’s imperative to listen, but above all to interpret our customers’ desires, to find THE detail that will change everything. Satisfying our customers is not just a question of means. To succeed in personalizing an event down to the smallest detail, you must first have taken the time to discover your customer’s Proust’s madeleine.
Secondly, confidentiality, as our name Private suggests, is our raison d’être and an essential value in the eyes of our customers. If our customers call on us, it’s largely because of our discretion and the particular care we take to keep the people involved anonymous.
Who are they?
Our clientele includes top executives and top managers, personalities such as certain sovereign families, and VIPs, both in France and abroad. Our strength also lies in our ability to mobilize a team quickly, both in France and abroad.
At the moment, we’re working on a stay in France for a major foreign industrialist who wants to discover one of France’s greatest wine estates and enjoy a tasting of some of the finest vintages, as well as organizing a wedding anniversary like you’ve never seen in a Parisian loft for a French businessman.
What are the craziest requests a customer has made of you?
It all depends on what you mean by “the craziest request”! Our aim is for every experience to be unique and exceptional, but different customers will have different reasons for this. Some requests will be more impressive from a technical point of view, such as reproducing a luxury spa and camp in the middle of the desert, or organizing a party for 300 people at the top of a mountain, but other, more intimate requests are often the ones we remember the most. For example, on the occasion of a birthday party for one of our customers, we brought together all the members of a family that had never been together in its entirety, even if they were far apart. It was a magical moment that left a lasting impression on our customers! In the end, the most memorable events are those that evoke a particular emotion and during which a natural alchemy is created between the guests and the concept imagined.
How are you expanding internationally?
Private works primarily by word of mouth. The strength of our offer lies in combining the best of both worlds: on the one hand, a small team entirely dedicated to each customer, operating like a start-up, with dynamism, adaptability and the guarantee of hand-sewn events; on the other, the engineering power and network of a major international group, Havas, to which we are attached. As a result, we are able to provide our customers with an offer anywhere in the world, in the shortest possible time. We also have the advantage of being able to mobilize a team quickly, both in France and abroad. Which markets are most interested in your range of services?
In addition to the French market, our customers, who include top executives, top managers and VIPs, come from the Gulf, the BRICS and Eastern and Central European countries.
At the moment, for example, we’re working on a stay for an Asian family, who would like to discover all the riches of France’s heritage, through a series of entirely tailor-made stages. On the program: exclusive cultural visits with behind-the-scenes access to certain emblematic monuments, top restaurants and meetings with influential figures from the worlds of haute couture and jewelry.
What are the luxury trends for this summer? What are the most common requests for this summer?
For our customers, true luxury today is not just a question of means, but above all a search for new experiences, a disconnection from everyday life and a need for tranquillity.
Discover confidential places: private mansions, villas or lofts inaccessible to the general public; travel to faraway and little-known lands: Calivigny, the Emerald Coast of Nicaragua, Laucala Island; have access to exclusive services such as the opening of an exceptional vineyard specially opened for our customers or meet artists and influential personalities from all over the world, these are just some of the requests we can receive.
In addition, more long-awaited destinations such as Corsica, Monaco or the dolce vita of the Italian coast are still very popular with our customers. For international customers, living the French dream by discovering our country’s flagship institutions remains a must!
