What happens when the world of Sherlock Holmes meets menswear? The Daks Spring/Summer 2014 collection. It was in the oh-so-dramatic setting of an abandoned church that the English fashion house unveiled its creations for next summer.
The show opened with four violinists performing Johann Sebastian Bach’s famous toccata (the context was right…), projecting the audience into the dark mood of the collection.
Echoing the English weather colors of gray, green, white and black, the Daks Spring/Summer collection for men seems to have escaped from a detective story.
Silk trenches, blazers and bathrobes take us back to the beginning of the previous century, a time when men dressed up much more than they do today.
Summer outfits are completed by black and white fedoras and incredibly tight swimming shorts (…). Prints are also part of the collection, from Prince of Wales to tartan, with stripes and the house monogram.
The cast included: Arthur Gosse, Luuk Van Os, Alexander Beck, Guerrino Santulliana, Jamie Wise, Charlie France, James Smith, Elliot Vulliod and Ton Heukels.
