Lanvin Menswear Spring/Summer 2014

Lanvin was dark with a rock/androgynous bent this season. Famed creative director Alber Elbaz and men’s line designer Lucas Ossendrijver chose a minimalist, dark vision for spring/summer 2014.

Sophistication is at the heart of the Lanvin Homme collection: pure lines, a play of asymmetries and striking silhouettes are the key words. Classic elegance blended with a teenage silhouette, the Lanvin man can adopt different attitudes, going from the most conservative in a suit to a rebellious, irreverent air with leather biker jackets and marcels.

His appearance is modest; dark colors are mainly navy blue, black, shades of gray and subtle contrasting whites and reds. When it comes to footwear, his versatility also shines through, as he’s equally at home in strappy leather shoes and sandals worn with socks.

Fine ties, refined suits, so a cast of svelte models was needed, in this case: Dominik Hahn, Laurie Harding, Miles Langford, Robbie Sedgwick, Shane Gambill and Gryphon O’Shea, Nick Offord among others.
