Gucci Uomo Spring/Summer 2014

Iconic Italian fashion house Gucci presented its men’s collection at Milan Fashion Week…and what a collection it was! The show was opened by catwalk king Adrien Sahores (who shared the stage with the delicious Clément Chabernaud, Gucci exclusive Baptiste Radufe, Ben Allen…) and an oh-so-romantic vision of the spring/summer season.

Floral romance and sportswear seem to be the key trends for Gucci this season. The house combines the graphic, poetic appeal of floral prints with the sophistication of sportswear, turning what could have been a jarring mix into a stylistic no-brainer.

And when the Gucci man isn’t donning a beige-tinted floral print total look, he’s indulging his practical side and sporting tapered pants with yokes so close to the body you’d think they were leggings.

Parkas are also part of this collection, and the imprint of winter clothing transposed to summer is a real trend among Italian designers (Ermenegildo Zegna, Corneliani…) and we can therefore see wool coats and sweaters in acidic tones (royal blue, yellow…).

Arthur Gosse, Clément Chabernaud, Ben Allen, Baptiste Radufe, Adrien Sahores (opening and closing the show), Janis Ancens, Luuk Van Os, Benoni Loos, and Bastiaan Van Gaalen made up the season’s cast.
