Documentaries on the great fashion editors are all the rage: we’ve already enjoyed Anna Wintour in the midst of preparing her September issue, and more recently a retrospective on the work of Diana Vreeland.

October 16 sees the cinema release of “Mademoiselle C”, dedicated to France’s most famous fashion editor, Carine Roitfeld. A pioneer of porn chic with Tom Ford, she left an indelible mark on Vogue Paris after ten years at the helm, notably with series that were the talk of the town, and even the cause of scandal – we remember the little girls dressed and made-up like women.

Leaving the Vogue throne in the Conde Nast building to Emmanuelle Alt, Carine Roitfeld now runs her own magazine, the CR Fashion Book. A veritable bi-annual must-have, this limited-edition publication adds further prestige to the book. Fabien Constant’s documentary follows Carine Roitfeld as she designs the very first issue of CR Fashion Book, between New York and Paris. The trailer gives us a sneak preview, and we can’t wait for October!
