PETA, the animal protection foundation, has once again pulled out all the stops for its new campaign. And it’s American model Louann Von Brochwitz, aka “Loulou” takes on the role of spokesperson, for a cause close to her heart. A self-proclaimed Dadaist, Loulou is also a contortionist and has a doctorate in mathematical research from California.
So it’s only natural that this model, no stranger to extreme posing, is now doing it for a good cause. Teaming up with the with PETA Louann Von Brochwitz also shares her views on animal cruelty: Elle refuses to wear fur, cosmetics that have not been tested on animals, boycotts factory farming and believes that no animal animals should spend their lives in cages for any reason.
For this new campaign Loulou slipped into a tiny cage, like a laboratory animal. A provocative photo to draw attention to animal abuse and cruelty. “When you look at Louann, legs, arms and face carefully folded in this little cage, the visual commentary on animal cruelty is unmistakable,” remarked photographer Jerry Fill at the end of the photoshoot.
A point of view, a shock campaign to remind us that all it takes is the desire to bring about positive change, because the fate of animals depends on our investment.
