The Luxsure team was delighted to discover the new collection by Henrik Vibskov, the Danish designer we’ve been following closely for the past 3 years. Fantasy and extravagance are the watchwords directing his collections. And once again this season, he’s up to his old tricks, advocating inspired non-conformism and presenting us with a colorful, offbeat universe.
The predominant two-tone color scheme for this new collection is mustard yellow and black, colors that at first glance appear to be opposites, yet work so well together. Red, blue, green, beige and white follow. From its name, The Bathtub ObserverVibskov shows us his artistic and cerebral side: he presents us with a thoughtful collection on the theme of the bathroom, with a medical side that is evident throughout the presentation. To discover the new collection, women dressed as nurses/doctors guide us into a white tunnel. They lift up sheets and we pass into this corridor, this “tube”, where the models await us.
Hairdressers and make-up artists, wearing medical gowns, work on live touch-ups around the models. Originality taken to the extreme, we salute the feat of blending technique (medicine) with the charm and quirkiness of a marginal universe (illness).
The visuals and prints are sometimes blurred, with models sporting sickly, pallid complexions, evidence of internal dysfunction? Vibskov speaks of illness, mental degeneration or the psychotropic effects of certain medical substances? He leaves us in the dark. Still faithful to his old collections, we find graphic prints and knitted patterns, a classic of the brand. Hand-printed Indian cotton with a distinct streetwear edge. Streetwear, not to be confused with easywear, since the pieces are sharp and well-crafted, with quality details.
Patchwork overlays, a play on lengths, offbeat mix-and-matches, an overall unstructured collection that nonetheless stays within a very precise, very “Vibskov” aesthetic line. The models are topped with ponytail hats, as the designer always puts a special emphasis on the hats he creates for his show.
Once again this year, the brand’s DNA is very much in evidence. You’d recognize its creations anywhere. And we smile to see such an evolution, always in keeping with the image it has conveyed since its beginnings.

In the center, a model wears this famous piece in black neoprene and linen, sublimated by the addition of chevrons. An eye-catching piece.
