Vanity Fair: the marriage of glamour and investigation

Vanity Fair is the famous American monthly from the Condé Nast group (Vogue, Glamour). Not just a glamorous magazine, it offers its many readers investigative articles and photo series every month, covering the worlds of entertainment, cinema, literature and fashion, as well as politics and current affairs.

Tomorrow, Wednesday June 26, the very first issue of Vanity Fair will be launched throughout France. Headed by editorial director Michel Denisot, accompanied by Anne Boulay, formerly of men’s magazine GQ. The magazine will publish 12 issues a year for around €4. The editorial team doesn’t want another fashion magazine on the newsstands, they want a different medium that won’t limit itself. Making Vanity Fair a magazine of culture, creating its own identity and agenda. Taking the codes of its American counterpart, but adapting them. A magazine that’s brilliant on the outside and biting on the inside, as Michel Denisot puts it. For this first issue, Vanity Fair has chosen the actress Scarlette Johansson for its first cover, unveiled this morning on social networks, with a special launch price of €2.

See you on newsstands tomorrow for the verdict!
