WAITING FOR THE SÜN is the must-have sunglasses brand, a skilful blend of Californian casualness and Parisian sophistication. The project began in 2007 with a challenge from Julien Tual and Antoine Mocquard, the brand’s founders: to produce sunglasses in wood, a raw and noble material that the two designers are particularly fond of. The choice of wood was not a random one, as in their eyes it embodies renewal, comfort and originality, thanks to its natural qualities and the unique design of its veins, making each pair of sunglasses unique. In 2009, after 2 years of research and innovative creations, W/SÜN launched its first eyewear line, inspired by classic models revisited by Antoine and Julien. Through collaborations with the commune of Paris, brands such as Rockwell, Mont Saint Michel, Sixpack and international artists, W/SÜN positions its sunglasses halfway between collector’s items and chic, casual and accessible urban accessories.
Discover the W/SÜN 2013 collection, models named Miami, Jean-Paul, 24, 6G, Data Redux, Clever or Futura, always in wood and very light. Inspired by the references that make up the history of eyewear, twisting the codes of modernity, vintage and elegance.
While you’re waiting for the sun, go and buy your W/SÜN glasses at WAIT, Paris’s first surf shop and showcase of their creativity, 9 rue notre dame de Nazareth in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris.
