Paule Ka COLLECTION AUTUMN / WINTER 2013-14 UPTOWN – DOWNTOWN
A winter collection with a mission: to unleash all your desires.
Tackle new lands, remain faithful to change, live several lives at the same time,
be someone else while remaining yourself. Only one constraint: dare!
Dare to go long or short, curved or voluminous, dry or silky, feminine or masculine, knit or vinyl, tweed or metal, zip or buckle…
For autumn/winter 2013-14, Serge Cajfinger has imagined a wardrobe like a musical score, with each note echoing the other, each piece in tune, blending and distinguishing itself to enable women to explore all the territories of a fashion that is above all theirs… from top to bottom!
UPTOWN… The city pulses, bustles, clashes. You have to fight for your place, impose, negotiate, challenge, compromise, earn your living… be inflexible with elegance.
The House’s codes are reiterated, but re-orchestrated to a lighter tempo. The Parisian chic is tinged with casualness, the silhouette remains structured but the wear, always impeccable, evokes movement. The structure remains rigorous, but fantasy asserts itself, breaking with codes and energizing the allure.
The brand’s hallmark materials are chosen and worked towards greater suppleness to better accompany the body’s ease and underline the elegance of gesture in a garment with impeccable fall.
The emblematic pieces are part of a renewed energy for 2013. The dress, of course, the dress… Trapeze, it is electrified, here by an unhooking, there by a play of very graphic cut-outs. The essential white shirt is available in several lengths, with or without sleeves, to soften a short skirt or conceal a pair of cigarette pants… The close-fitting coat, the slim-fitting jacket, knitwear… For the pleasure of getting together.
PAULE KA, a real woman.
DOWNTOWN… The city is blurred, softened, shared. We must discover, stroll, meet, languish, disperse, be moved… be vulnerable with confidence.
More confidence, more freedom in a collection built around garments that, depending on how they are put together or accessorized, showcase another facet of ourselves. Forget the sometimes rigid outfit-panoply, Fall/Winter 2013-14 opens up to play and the affirmation of a bolder personality.
New volumes inspire a softer, friendlier femininity, with layering that protects and reveals without ever weighing down the silhouette. Clean edges, semi-lined jackets, woollen drapes and supple gabardines all contribute to a lighter look that celebrates movement.
Skirts, coats and dresses that let you see your legs… Juxtapositions of contrasting materials: the masculinity of a metal buckle against the softness of a wool jersey, the femininity of a bow against the softness of a coarse wool sweater, an extravagant floral print against the sobriety of a little black dress… White and black, red and vermilion, gray and blue, greige and beige… For the joy of self-discovery!
PAULE KA, a true woman.
