Currently on show in Calais until December 31, 2013, the “Iris Van Herpen” exhibition features some 30 pieces created between 2008 and 2012. An avant-garde universe that we know her well. The creations are grouped by collection and period, and take their place on large pedestals revealing their three-dimensionality. Alongside, photographs and a large-screen projection of the prodigy’s fashion shows showcase her creations worn and in motion.
On Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the Centre Pompidou, Iris Van Herpen and her high-tech, fairytale world will take the stage to launch the Centre Pompidou’s new season of programming for young audiences. “Le Scénario Rêvé“will run from the Atelier des enfants to Studio 13/16. From 2pm to 6pm, the Centre Pompidou will be offering a series of festive and creative activities inspired by the artist’s experiments. Using the most surprising materials (from Iris Van Herpen’s collections), participants will be able to create. There’ll also be a dance performance, a concert, film screenings and a chance to discover characters invented by the designer, and from 6pm onwards, it’s showtime at Studio 13/16!
