A few weeks ago, we took off for Monte Carlo to enjoy an exceptional musical experience: a concert by renowned pianist Stefan Cassar in the very setting of the Spa, which was undergoing major renovations.
The history of the Thermes Marins is inseparable from the history of Monaco. Dating back to 1860, initiated by Charles III, who wanted to make Monaco a city of baths, the history of Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo is one of innovation, well-being, space and freedom. With a view to respecting this more than century-old heritage, the establishment undertook a renovation from last March until October 1, 2014, to offer more space, modernity, technology and well-being.
“Zen, luxury, high-tech and performance are the watchwords of these new and future Thermes Marins,” says Michel Dotta, President of Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo.
And in the spirit of Monte-Carlo’s creative re-creation, an intrepid concert was organized on May 17, as a concrete representation of the spirit of renewal, thrills and entertainment that the Thermes are also inhabited by. Les Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo, which remains partly open, invited its prestigious clientele to attend an original classical music concert by the great Maltese pianist Stefan Cassar, in the swimming pool under construction.
Far from being a period in parentheses, this period of renovation is an opportunity to experience more than ever the creative and recreational spirit that has made Monte-Carlo a legend. Just like this evening, original, elegant and splendid, thanks to renowned performer Stefan Cassar. A great specialist in Romantic music and winner of numerous international competitions, he honored Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer by agreeing to play under these very special conditions, and by making a wonderful gift to the guests.
A unique and privileged moment in a unique setting.
