Winner of the Grand Prix des Jeunes Créateurs du Commerce organized by the Unibail-Rodamco group, Tailor Corner brings a breath of fresh air to the world of men’s fashion by democratizing made-to-measure.

TWO CREATORS

Fabien Barrois, 29, and mehdi Cheddadi, 30, were born to be entrepreneurs. What they didn’t know was that they were going to combine their ideas to undertake and succeed together. This entrepreneurial idyll was born during their first year at the Ecole Centrale d’Electronique. Long before they graduated with an engineering degree in information systems and networks, their ambitions and vision of business brought them together. When one suggests a new concept, a new idea, the other is already thinking about its feasibility and the production chain to be implemented behind it. It’s an ideal fit, and one that has prompted them to consider setting up a business together.

WHY TAILOR CORNER?

During their studies, fabien Barrois and mehdi Cheddadi developed a real sensitivity to men’s fashion, and decided to invest in it using the technologies they mastered. After numerous market studies and demand analyses, they came to the conclusion that many men would like to afford made-to-measure clothing at ready-to-wear prices. The visionary spirit of our two young entrepreneurs and their mastery of new technologies enabled them to build the foundations of Tailor Corner. To achieve their goals, they both made considerable personal sacrifices and put in a colossal amount of work to launch the brand. The balance is solid, the partnership between our entrepreneurs fruitful. And in 2010, winning the Grand Prix Unibail-Rodamco des Jeunes Créateurs du Commerce recognized their work, the concept and officially launched the Tailor Corner brand. And today, it’s time for growth and the opening of webstores in shopping centers. A just reward for these two men, who promise to have other trump cards up their sleeves to create new, high value-added products for all other men!

A WIDE RANGE OF CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS

With a multitude of fabrics, shapes, cuts and colors, the brand offers over 200 customization options. A creative freedom that will suit every style, whether dandy, classic or casual. The range also innovates each season (spring-summer and autumn-winter) with a new, limited-edition fabric collection. Finally, the current offer has been the subject of several market studies and will evolve in line with demand and men’s trends.

THE POWER OF HALF-MEASURE

Tailor Corner’s half-measure service consists of trying on a standard size beforehand. Accompanied by an expert advisor, the customer then tries on several sizes to check ease of fit and decide on any alterations required to create a perfect fit. While many retailers limit correction points to five, Tailor Corner can offer dozens. Based on these correction points, a pre-existing pattern is modified before cutting, in order to match the customer’s exact measurements. The model is then cut to size in the fabric and shapes chosen by the customer. Half-measuring allows customers to visualize how their garment will look. This process also saves considerable time by eliminating the need for intermediate fittings, and the waiting time often estimated at three months for traditional made-to-measure garments.
