Cuvées named after children, grandfathers, grandmothers… are numerous in France. The “troublemaker” Jean Noël Bousquet wanted to buck this trend by creating a cuvée bearing the effigy of
Volga, his dog, the estate’s mascot, always there to welcome customers and attract their caresses.
This “dog wine” is a wine of pleasure. The kind you drink from the first sip to the last, without any fuss. A tribute to her faithful friend, who “A-Boats” with contentment.

Terroir : Terrasse de l’Orbieu, rounded pebbles. Bottom of
clay-limestone hillside. Grès de Boutenac
Grape varieties:
Carignan: 30% Single Guyot pruning.5 to 10 years
Grenache: 20% Gobelet pruning. 10 to 20 years
Syrah: 50% Gobelet pruning. 30 to 50 years
Cultivation: Soil ploughing, rational phytosanitary protection (respect for balance, protection of
auxiliaries). Vineyard management: trellising for Syrah, free vegetation for Grenache and Carignan.
Harvesting: Manual, sorted on the stump.
Vinification: Manual sorting on arrival at the winery. De-stemming Vatting time: 22 days on average, with temperatures maintained at
28° C. Extraction by pumping over and punching down.
Ageing: one year in vats with 3 rackings, aeration and resuspension of the fine lees.
Tasting notes: Fresh red fruit, sweet spices and garrigue aromas, found in a
mouth that offers ripe tannins. A tasty, gourmet wine.
Production: 12,000 bottles
