Henrik Vibskov “The Stiff Neck Chamber” AW 2013

We don’t need to remind you how sensitive Luxsure is to the work of the Danish designer, who has a habit of dazzling us with both his creative spirit and the spectacular staging of his catwalk shows. Known for his colorful collections, this AW 2013 collection correlates with his earlier creations. Sharp cuts, minimalism combined with whimsy, and a non-conformism we’d readily adopt.

A quirky universe, recurring elements found every season, impeccable finishing and cuts, undeniable quality. A designer whose creations are a pleasure to contemplate and discover.

Orange and khaki remain his two predominant colors. And once again, we see the “encased” models that have been Vibskov’s trademark since he first showed at the Paris FW.

Extensive scenographic research, innovative accessories, capes worn by both men and women, motif, cheerfulness despite a rather cold Nordic feel, thanks in particular to the atmosphere of the chosen venue, the 4th arrondissement town hall in Place Baudoyer.

The pink flamingo (new and revolutionized in black) is in the spotlight, and this motif can be found on several pieces (sweatshirts, suits, etc.) as well as in decorative elements. In fact, more than a showcase, it’s an exhibition of the designer’s work. In particular, you can find his carte blanche exhibition NECK PLUS ULTRA in Paris at Galerie des Galeries from February 27 to May 4, 2013.

A much-appreciated performance, and a collection we can’t wait to adopt.
