A month ahead of the Femmes en Or 2012 ceremony, the Hyatt Regency Madeleine-Paris hotel welcomed the press and a few media stars to discover the nominees.
For its 20th edition, this year will once again be full of emotion and surprises; this great festival celebrating Women and Women’s issues will once again take place in Courchevel from December 14 to 16.
172 women received a trophy for their audacity, their courage sometimes, and in all cases for their commitment and generosity. And there’s more to come!
The awards, initiated by Jean-Louis Sevez in 1993, spotlight famous and lesser-known women whose varied backgrounds are inspiring. They evolve and distinguish themselves in the following fields: art, fashion, sport, innovation, business, music and cinema – two new revelations – media, entertainment and the environment.
And others give up their time for a noble cause: these are the Femmes de Coeur, a trophy which honored Adriana Karembeu last year for her involvement with Red Cross volunteers. Awarded by Coca-Cola light, the nominees and winners of this prize will only be revealed in a month’s time…
In all, 10 categories cover the full range of female talent that makes society tick.
