Perceptions about Dévastée

Dévastée’s SPRING SUMMER 2013 collection was shown in the immaculate white Commines space. The space in which the show was held was certainly not insignificant. In fact, the immaculate white of the walls contrasted sharply with the monochrome collection at Dévastée.

Dévastée’s perceptions are highly conceptual. We find ourselves immersed in a world of black and white to the rhythm of electronic music by artist Rikslyd, who opens the dance with the sexy “Hot Boys” ( http://itunes.apple.com/album/ecotone/id561630146 to download her album).

Androgynous yet clean-cut looks, collages of vintage photos combined with flirty skirts, sneakers and caps were all on show. Horizontal stripes were also present, with the best outfits in my opinion including shirts with folded collars, all in keeping with the garçonne trend.

At Dévastée, it’s sporty chic that will set the trends for the coming season. No room for color or too much fantasy. The clothes are strict, masculine and practical above all.
