Increased attendance and a record number of exhibitors for the ninth edition of Whisky Live Paris

On September 8, 9 and 10, the 9th edition of Whisky Live Paris was held, bringing together over 125 whisky and spirits brands around the theme of Vintage Spirit, in the unique setting of the Maison de la Mutualité.

Record attendance for the biggest edition of Whisky Live Paris ever
With over 1,800m² dedicated to discovery and tasting, Whisky Live Paris 2012 lived up to its promise of offering spirits enthusiasts and industry professionals a unique experience. Bringing together a total of 128 brands over the three days of activity, Whisky Live Paris 2012 offered over 750 references for tasting. In terms of visitors, the weekend open to individuals welcomed almost 3,000 enthusiasts, while over 2,000 professionals took advantage of the
day on Monday, which was reserved for them.

Numerous renowned personalities and exceptional products in all areas
Among the highlights were the presence of a number of luminaries who came especially for the occasion. From Dave Broom (Whisky Magazine & Fine Spirits) and Serge Valentin (www.whiskyfun.com) to Luca Gargano (Velier), David Stewart (The Balvenie), Dennis Malcolm (Glen Grant), Angelad’Orazio (Mackmyra) and Tomas Estes (Ocho), the many speakers made their mark on Whisky Live Paris 2012 with their presence and in-depth analyses.

New releases include Japanese whiskies Nikka Blended and Nikka Coffey Grain, Old Pulteney Flotilla 2000, Ardbeg Galileo, Caroni 12-year-old rum, Vestal and Chase vodkas, and American whiskies Jailers and Breakout Rye.

A cross-disciplinary showcase of several categories and consumption modes
With specific showcases dedicated to a multitude of product categories – whisky, rum, cognac, armagnac, calvados, gin, vodka, tequila, mezcal, vermouth, bitters, creams and liqueurs, sake and other Japanese products, eaux-de-vie and grappa – Whisky Live Paris 2012 gave visitors the chance to (re)discover the diversity and richness of the world of spirits. Thanks to renowned partners such as bars L’Antiquaire, La Candelaria, Experimental Cocktail Club and Grazie, as well as the
barmen circle BARNOVA, chocolatier Jacques Génin and Café Lomi, several original ways of consuming spirits were offered to both private and professional customers.
