Rynshu’s new collection, entitled “Ombre et Lumière”, draws its inspiration from music, film and fashion. Having been hit by the earthquake on the Pacific coast of Tôhoku last year, Rynshu realized how precious life is, how it can change in an instant of a second. For his 42nd collection, he decided to create a thread around a meeting between a man and a woman, a romantic story that doesn’t always work out so well. Butterflies and flowers are a reminder of the tragedy this story can also bring. The materials, light as they are, catch the light, like polyamide, which he uses extensively in his creations. Androgynous suits, draped pants, sarouels: the designer focuses on delicate finishing touches. A rock edge is appreciated with the presence of leather and gold/silver tones, true to the house’s codes. Jacket linings contrast like a photographic negative and leap like shadows. The Rynshu style can be worn rock’n’roll as a total look or as a formal look.
