The Heineken saga is almost 140 years old, and yet it’s only just begun.
Since its inception, Heineken has been committed to offering quality beer in a radically modern bottle. The brand’s history has influenced the way we enjoy beer. From its beginnings in 1873 to the present day, Heineken has remained a pioneer, shaking up codes and integrating design into every one of its creations, to remain at the forefront of innovation. 1873-2013: 140 Years Of Design

4 bottles, 4 creations
For each of the bottles in this limited edition, the brand has designed a packaging illustrating a key episode in its history: amsterdam 1873,
the first Heineken bottle; new York 1933, the first bottle imported into the United States; World 2012, the universal bottle; The Future, the bottle of tomorrow.

A private evening to design the bottle of the future.
During an evening mixing rock, happening and design, talented graphic designers took part in the game of designing the Heineken bottle of the future. The winning design was by Benoit “Haribo” Henry.

This was followed by a live concert by Stuck in the Sound.

Focus on labels
A bottle’s label is its emblem. Since 1873, Heineken bottle labels have evolved in step with the life of the brand. For this limited edition, the brand has rehabilitated its mythical and original labels to the delight of collectors and brand enthusiasts.
