MUSE by Christian Chenail | AH_2012 | Montréal Fashion Week
Montréal, February 7, 2012 | Day 1 SMM22
The 22nd edition of Montreal Fashion Week began with an architect and an architecture.
La MUSE by Christian Chenail, alma architekton (he studied architecture), was presented at La Grande Bibliothèque de Montréal to the crème de la crème of the Montreal fashion scene.

An imposing parterre in a majestic setting, an aesthetic symbol of heritage and novelty. Stéphane Leduc, Editor-in-Firsto of Dress To Kill Magazine, pointed out to me that “the majesty of this building could prove a natural habitat for future MFWs. Yes, it could!

Christian Chenail was telling us all about his collection, its architecture and structure, even before the show began. Verbatim: ‘ Before a collection takes shape, the “MUSE” spirit is there: sensuality, romanticism, reflection on women’s expectations, an idealized quest for harmony sometimes tinged with a little nostalgia. Each season brings the opportunity to restate my convictions and give new form to my desire to make women beautiful.’
Replace Femmes with Grande Bibliothèque, and classicism will express itself just as much!
Personal. Modern.
De Mode. De Architectura. De Jersey. De Jour.
