This year, La Chablisienne, one of France’s most emblematic wineries, celebrates its 90th anniversary. To mark the occasion, it has created an elegant mosaic box, perfect for discovering the 4 levels of the appellation. It is composed as follows Petit Chablis Pas Si Petit 2010, Chablis La Sereine 2010, Chablis 1er Cru Vaulorent 2010 and last but not least Chablis Grand Cru Château Grenouilles 2010. Intoxicating!
Halfway between Paris and Beaune, Chablis is the golden gateway to winegrowing Burgundy. The 5,000-hectare vineyard, located on either side of the Serein river, extends over 20 villages. La Chablisienne, a group of nearly 300 winegrowers, is present throughout the vineyards and appellations. Over the years and around the world, its white wines, made from the Chardonnay grape, have acquired an extraordinary reputation. The Chablis terroir brings freshness, minerality, finesse and complexity to the wines. Depending on the cuvée, it can be enjoyed young, for one to three years, with a thirst-quenching freshness, or over 3 years for cuvées from old vines of premier and grand crus, which are characterized by greater complexity, minerality and aromatic richness.
The 2010 vintage
In 2010, the weather alternated between hot and cool periods, which disrupted flowering. Weather conditions were then more favorable until August 15. That weekend, between 55 and 80 mm of rain fell, depending on the commune, followed by a month of alternating heat and showers, which favored the development of a noble fungus on the grapes: Botrytis Cynérea. The harvest began on Monday September 20 and ended on September 30 in perfect conditions.

Myth
